Version
2026.8.6.3
Highlights
This is a hotfix to fix a bug that caused the internal Edge web browser not to work. Because of this bug, browsing the web was no longer possible in Unify (unless you switched to Chromium) as Edge was the default browser in Unify. We also added a webbrowser selection option in Unify settings so you can also choose the browser engine there.
Changes overview
-
Settings
- Added browser engine option in Windows settings section.
-
Global
- Updated several core packages, like the Edge webbrowser, compression, etc.
Global
- When updating Unify, all Unify processes should now be closed automatically.
-
Gaming
- General
- When the registry key for app compatibility does not exist, it will now be created.
Web Browser
- The internal Edge browser engine will now work if Unify is installed in a system direcory, like Program Files, to which the engine had no access. The cache will now always be read from/written to a temporary folder that does not need administrator rights.
